The Nanostructured Materials for Power (NMP) program exploits advanced nanomaterials for revolutionary improvements in power applications of interest to the Defense Department. Nanomaterials possess chemical, electromagnetic, and thermal properties capable of enhancing performance of material structures for power applications. The ability to decouple and independently control physical phenomena at the nanoscale level will enable improvements in the energy of magnets and efficiency of tomorrow's thermoelectric devices.
